CDI Manager or Director Jobs
Qualified CDI manager or director job candidates must have at least two to four years of experience working as a CDI manager in a hospital or with a CDI consulting company. Candidates must also have an AHIMA certification (RHIT, RHIA), or be a nurse with a four-year degree and a background in CDI or health information management. CDI managers or directors should also have a strong leadership background as a manager at a hospital or consulting firm.
The responsibilities of a CDI manager or director include managing CDI specialists and staff, as well as coordinating communication and collaboration between key CDI figures including HIM leadership, case management leadership, and physicians. CDI managers or directors will also produce measurement reports of CDI process and progress, and demonstrate excellent communication skills with physicians.
