Maxim Health Information Services (MHIS) is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist Auditor for a position in Miami, FL.
Job Requirements
CDIS Consultant - Auditor
- Registered Nurse with MedSurg clinical background or AHIMA credentialed coder with ICD-9 auditing experience
- 6 - 12 months of experience as a CDIS or CDI Instructor
- Understands ICD-9 coding
- Understands CDI type Physician Querying approaches
- Knows excel and Microsoft applications
- Availability at the client sight (Miami) weekly (travel weekly or stay at the client sight for availability)
- HCC coding a plus
CDIS Consultant - Auditor Lead
Same as above plus:
- Management experience within CDI or HIM
- 12 or more months experience as a CDIS or CDI Instructor
- Understands and able to help provide oversight of auditors work
- 25% of time dedicated to oversight, auditing CDIS auditors reviews and orienting new auditors
- 75% of time dedicated to performing audit duties
